Cullasaja School is a small rural elementary school in Franklin, NC which was home to two self-contained special needs classes for the seven years prior to the 2001-2001 school year. These classes were moved to the new South Macon Elementary School so that all special needs classes would be together when it was opened in the fall of 2001. Along with the twenty-three students came five staff members to serve these special needs students.
